The 18th Edition brings a significant changes to regulations, as wiring systems are required to be supported throughout an installation, such that they will not be liable to premature collapse in the event of a fire. There are no applications excluded trunking, conduit and cabling fixed to surfaces of the building or attached to cable support systems must all have fire-resisting supports in place. Whilst not every fixing must be metal, the installer must ensure that there is an adequate number in place.
