Twin/shotgun cable is used for sky and freesat installations where two cables are required from the receiver to the satellite dish. Unlike TV Aerial signals, where you can split the cable into two, satellite cable cannot be split. If your receiver requires two cables or you have more than one single tuner satellite receiver in your home, you will need to have independent cables fed from the LNB of the dish to each receiver/tuner.
